Well hello folks, are you all ready for the winter? Well, I just so happen to love the winter from the fashion, the food, the peppermint hot chocolate and so much more I am so in, but there’s one thing that I dread about those cold months and it’s the horrid dry skin that likes to infringe on the fun of winter and for today I’m sharing with you all a quick, fun and easy as pie DIY Himalayan Detox Winter Mint Body Scrub that softens, exfoliates, moisturizes and detoxes thanks to its two key ingredients ginger and of course Himalayan salts and if this DIY piques your interest stroll on down and let’s get things started.
What You’ll Need
1 Cup of Pink Himalayan Salts
1/4 Cups of Fresh or 2 tablespoons of Dried Mint
8 drops of Spearmint Essential Oil
1/2 tsp of powder ginger
1/4 of a cup of Avocado Oil
A jar for storage
Utensil for mixing things up
Add into your blender to start just half of the Himalayan salts, 1/4 of a cup of fresh mint or 2 tablespoons of dried mint, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder and gently blend together, then add the rest of the Himalayan Salts and continue blending until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Now transfer the scrub into a mixing bowl and add 1/4 of a cup of avocado oil and mix together, you can add an additional 1/4 cup of avocado oil for an extra moisturizing body scrub.
Add eight drops of Spearmint essential oil to the scrub and give it a quick stir to combine.
Now you can transfer the scrub into a jar for storage, and enjoy.
Tips and Tricks
If you have sensitive skin I would advise not using this scrub or testing on a small area on your skin to see if your skin can tolerate this type of detox scrub.
Mix things up a bit for this DIY body scrub and use coconut oil, macadamia oil, apricot oil or any oil that you typically like to gravitate towards for skin care DIY’s.
Make in small batches if using fresh mint and store in the fridge or discard any leftovers after 2 days max.
