Welcome to A Modern Girl Recommends and up for today we’re talking three simple, easy breezy tips to getting and keeping our pouts super soft and moisturized because we do a lot with our lips, from talking, eating to puckering up so why not give them a little extra care to protect them with these tips but what are these easy tips? Let’s talk.

3 Tips to Getting Smoother Lips | A Modern Girl Recommends

Tip 1 Dry Brush

Try giving your pout a gentle dry brushing with a toothbrush this process helps to remove that thin layer of dead skin cells on your lips leaving them softer and smoother. To dry brush you are going to want to use a new toothbrush that will only be designated for dry brushing your lips, because let’s be very real here I don’t think anyone is going to want to wash their teeth with the same brush that has been collecting and removing dead skin cells from their lips so a separate toothbrush is suggested. To dry brush your lips gently brush your lips in a light circular motion until you’ve done your entire lip area and that’s it and if dry brushing is not your thing try a lip scrub and the results are just the same.

Tip 2 Lip Masks

Lip masks are an excellent way to restore lips when they are irritated and in need of a moisture rescue. They offer a host of benefits and I like them because they’re quick, easy and you can put one on in the morning while getting ready or try an overnight mask and get the same great benefits while you get your beauty rest.

Tip 3 Protect them

Protecting your pout day and night is tip number three and is simply achieved by putting on a lip balm in the morning and throughout the day that contains an SPF of 15 or higher and in the evening slathering on a heavier emulsifying balm to repair and restore moisture to your lips while you’re off in the land of nod.
