Welcome to A Modern Girl Recommends and up for today I will be sharing with you all one of my all-time favorite recipes for Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola that tastes great, is quick to make and saves all of us granola eating addicts, some green, because we all know buying good granola is not always cheap and it can quickly add up so stick around and let’s get things started.
What you’ll need
Rolled oats
Peanut butter
Sugar
Vanilla Extract
Butter
Milk chocolate chips
Mixing bowl
Saucepan
Baking sheet
Spatula
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Step 2
Add 1/2 of a cup of butter, 1/4 of a cup of creamy peanut butter and one teaspoon of vanilla extract into a saucepan and heat on medium heat until the butter and peanut butter are fully combined.
Step 3
Add to your mixing bowl 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats and 1/4 of a cup of organic cane sugar and mix together.
Step 4
Remove the butter and peanut butter mixture from the stove top and pour the mixture over the rolled oats that have been combined with sugar and mix together until the oats are fully coated and then transfer into a 300 degree oven for 35 minutes or until your granola has turned golden brown.
Step 5
Remove your granola from the oven and allow it to fully cool before adding your milk chocolate chips and any extras and then transfer your granola into a storage container and enjoy!
Tips, Tricks and Extras
- Try melting some chocolate into your granola to make it extra decadent.
- Add crushed peanuts into the mix along with dried cherries.
- While your granola is cooking in the oven from time to time look in on it and turn the mixture with a spoon or metal spatula to keep it from burning and to help it to evenly cook.
- You can substitute the organic cane sugar for brown sugar, stevia, maple syrup or any sweetener of your choosing.
