Hey guys I am back and for today I’m going to be sharing a recipe on how to make Homemade Burrito Bowls which I love and if you do too we already know that the ones we get at our local eateries can cost $7.50 which can sometimes add up, especially if we’re having them three or more times a week, which can put a bit of a dent in any budget so to save some green and still be able to have our burrito bowls todays edition is going to break it down for us all.
What you’ll need
Long Grain Rice
Sirloin or Meat of your choice
Marinate your sirloin, chicken, tofu or eggplant in one tablespoon of soy sauce, three cloves of crushed garlic, two tablespoons of olive oil and one teaspoon of fresh minced ginger along with a half of a teaspoon of black pepper, a pinch of sea salt and a teaspoon of dried marjoram.
Add four tablespoons of olive oil to a skillet and allow oil to heat up and then place your sirloin in the pan to sear until it becomes golden brown then transfer into a 350 degree oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
It’s now time to make the cilantro lime infused rice. Add one cup of long grain brown rice to your cooking pot along with two cups of water and once your rice is fully cooked, add the zest of two limes into the rice along with two tablespoons of fresh lime juice and 1/4 of a cup of freshly chopped cilantro and mix together.
Now remove your sirloin from the oven and allow to cool and once cooled, slice your steak and set to the side.
In this step you’re going to chop some romaine lettuce, cilantro, some limes and avocado and whatever toppings you would like in your Homemade burrito Bowls.
It’s assembling time layer the bottom portion of your bowl with the cilantro lime infused rice and then add your chosen toppings and then your seared meat.
