Friday is finally here the weekend is about to start and for today I’m going to be sharing a recipe that is for a homemade version of those Chia Seed drinks that we tend to see at the local markets that can sometimes cost quite a bit, especially if we are drinking one everyday, but with my version, it’s easy to make, it tastes great, saves you some money and you can put your own spin on things and make it your own which is why I love it! And with that, said let’s get things started with how I make my Blueberry Chia Lemonade.
What You’ll Need
1/4 of a cup of Chia Seeds
Simply Blueberry Lemonade
The first step is to hydrate your Chia Seeds and this is done by adding 1/4 of a cup of Chia Seeds to a jar or bottle that has a lid and then pour water over the Chia Seeds until the jar is filled up put the top on and place in the fridge until the Chia Seeds have become hydrated. You will know when Chia Seeds are hydrated when they turn a very light gray color, have swollen a bit and the water has a consistency that is similar to a light gel. You can leave your Chia Seeds in the refrigerator overnight or for about 20 to 30 minutes.
After your Chia Seeds have been fully hydrated now you’re going to fill your jar or glass half way up with your hydrated Chia Seed water.
Fill the remainder of your jar with Simply Blueberry Lemonade and give it a quick stir, garnish with some lemon wedges and enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
This drink lasts for up to five days in the fridge.
Never leave any Chia Seed drink out all day.
Always keep in the fridge when not drinking.
You can play around with some of your favorite flavors and create your own concoction.
