Hey guys I’m back and for today I am digging up one of my recipes to share with you all and it’s for a frittata and frittatas are not only good for breakfast, but anytime and I like that with frittatas you don’t have to stick to one recipe you can put your own spin on things and add whatever ingredients you like, but for today I’m going to show you all how I make mine and here’s how.
What you’ll need
2 Large eggs
1 teaspoon of dried Marjoram
2 cups of fresh spinach
1 clove of garlic
1/2 cup of grated cheese
1/2 cups of Cherry tomatoes
1/2 a cup of Red marinated peppers
1/2 cup of sliced Sausages
1/2 of a cup of mushrooms
1 Tablespoon of Cream
Let’s get started
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Add one tablespoon of your preferred cooking oil (Olive oil, coconut oil, sesame oil, etc.) to your pan and let oil heat, then add a 1/2 of a cup of sliced mushrooms, one clove of crushed garlic along with a half of a cup of sliced smoked sausage and two cups of spinach and sauté. Cook your sausage thoroughly until it’s browned and your spinach and other ingredients are sautéed and then turn off your stove, but do not remove pan, let sit and add 1/2 cups of sliced cherry tomatoes and cover pan with lid.
Crack two large eggs and whisk together, then add a 1/2 of a teaspoon of cracked black pepper, a 1/2 of a teaspoon of sea salt, a teaspoon of dried marjoram and 1 tablespoon of cream and whisk altogether. After mixing add 1/2 of a cup of sliced red marinated peppers these can be purchased at your local grocery store in the olive bar section or you can use jar peppers as well after adding the marinated peppers to your mixture set aside and move on to step 4.
Butter your baking dish and add all of your cooked ingredients to your baking dish.
Pour your egg mixture right over your cooked ingredients and then cover with 1/2 of a cup of grated mild cheddar cheese.
Now place your dish into the center of your 400 degree preheated oven and let bake for 10-15 minutes or until your frittata is golden brown and has fully risen.
Allow your frittata to cool for 5-8 minutes before serving.
