Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Appetizers

Step 1 Wash the Asparagus and lightly pat dry.

Step 2  Take one to two sheets of Puff Pastry depending upon how many appetizers you are going to make. I used only one sheet and was able to make fourteen Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Appetizers so just cut the Puff Pastry into strips and set them to the side.

Step 3  Now take anywhere between 5 to 6 strips of bacon and slice each strip of bacon right down the middle.

Step 4  Take each asparagus one at a time and wrap around one of the cut strips of bacon, leaving a little space to be able to add the puff pastry in the next step.

Step 5 Now take one strip of puff pastry and wrap around each asparagus and make sure to keep the top of the asparagus open.

Step 6 Sprinkle coarse black pepper onto each of the finished wraps and then add a light dusting of turmeric.

Step 7  Heat your oven to 350 degrees and place the wrapped Asparagus into the oven they will need to cook anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes, depending upon your oven just make sure to keep an eye on them because sometimes they are ready sooner just look for the bacon to appear golden amber brown and the puff pastry to be a honey gold color.
