Bringing Fragrances Into Your Space with Essential Oils | A Modern Girl Recommends

Welcome back readers today I thought I would share a DIY that is not only going to bring an abundance of fragrance into our home, office, dorm or wherever fragrance is needed in your life, but through the use of essential oils will potentially lift not only the mood of the room, but yours as well so without any further delay let’s create today.

What you’ll need

1 Glass or ceramic bottle

1/4 Cup of  a Carrier oil

25-30 drops of  your desired essential oil

6 -10 Reeds

Let’s Get Started

Step 1:  Add 1/4 of a cup of carrier oil into your bottle. I will be using Jojoba Oil, however, there are many options for carrier oils available on the market a few examples are Grapeseed Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil or Apriot Oil.

Step 2:  Add 25 to 30 drops of Essential oils. I will be using 25 drops of grapefruit essential oil and 30 drops of Lemongrass essential oil.

Step 3: Add six to ten reeds into your jar. If you are unable to get diffuser reeds you can use bamboo skewers just make sure to cut off the tips.

Step 4:  Allow reeds to soak up the fragrant oil mixture in your bottle for about two to three minutes and then remove all of the reeds and rotate them where the oil soaked reeds are on top.

Step 5: Enjoy.

Bonus Tips

  1. Rotate your reeds whenever you would like the fragrance of your diffuser to become stronger in your space or when the fragrance begins to noticeably fade.
  2. Use a smaller glass or ceramic bottle when putting together your oil diffuser. A larger bottle will cause the oil to evaporate quicker than a small bottle.
  3. Play around with different essential oils to find out which ones you resonate with the most.

Thanks for stopping by for a quick DIY on just one way of how we can bring frangrance into our spaces with essential oils through an oil reed diffusers this is just one of many ways and it’s quick, effective and easy, so stay tuned for more to come like, share and subscribe and I will see you all again soon.
