My Ipsy bag arrived just in time to wrap up the year and of course it’s packed with skincare, makeup, and other beauty treats to get one ready to ring in the New Year with style. The December Ipsy Bag is filled with top brands and a few new brand discoveries that have captured my full attention, so let’s have a look into the December edition. The Ipsy Glam Bag theme for December 2016 is Carpe P.M., which is a play on Carpe Diem and this month’s beauty bag is truly playing on seizing the beauty moment.
Full size | $15– $48.00
The first product in my Ipsy bag is from the brand Tarte Cosmetics and it’s their famed Maracuja Oil, which is a facial oil that not only hydrates, but smooths fine lines, brightens, plumps and much more. The star ingredient in Tarte’s Maracuja Oil is of course Maracuja, which derives from a fruit that can be found in the Amazon’s and this oil is suitable for many skin types including acne prone skin as stated by the brand.REN | Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask
Full size | $55.00
REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask is described by REN as a potent bio-active peel that works overtime to not only lend a hand in smoothing skin, but creates a radiant complexion visibly free of fine lines and reveals skin that has an even tone. I have received this mask before through other beauty sample subscriptions and this is definitely a peel worthy of having in one’s beauty arsenal.

The next item in my Ipsy Bag is the Professional Make-up Prismatic Eye Shadow in the color Jaded by the brand NYX Cosmetics. The color Jaded is a beautiful, rich true to jade metallic shimmering eye shadow that will spark interest at any celebration. The pigmentation is perfect and the consistency is light and buttery. I like that this eye shadow does not look like a tacky metallic eye shadow, and is extremely versatile where one can create various looks from edgy to bold and end right at the door step of elegant.Cake Beauty | Heavy Cream Intensive Hand Repair Balm
Full size | $10- $22.00
By far the next product in my Ipsy Bag for December has been an instant fave. If one is struggling to keep their hands soft and moisturize during these cold winter months, then this is probably the hand cream I would suggest looking into, because it not only smells nice, but also gets hands incredibly soft. Cake Beauty has formulated their Intensive Hand Repair Balm to renew dry hands quickly and protects hands from cold weather and other skin drying contributors and contains 20% Shea butter, is vegan, cruelty-free, Gluten free, GMO- free, Phthalate-free, Paraben-free and has a vanilla birthday cake scent I need not say more.Ciate London | Liquid Velvet Matte Lipstick in Pin Up
Full size | $19.00
And, here we are, we have arrived at the product that is going to wrap up my Ipsy December 2016 Bag reveal and review and what is it? It’s a rich, velvety blushing rose liquid lipstick by the brand Ciate, and it’s from their Liquid Velvet Matte Lipstick collection in the color Pin Up. I must say this lipstick is another item from my Ipsy bag that is quickly ending up in my favorites collection. I like that the color is inviting and just right for casual to formal settings. The formula has good lasting power I’m not saying all day, all night, but this liquid lipstick will be around for a while. I like how well it applies, it doesn’t leave my lips looking parched and the color does not run or look patchy definitely a liquid lipstick that is living up to its name velvety and rich in color.
And, that’s was my December 2016 Ipsy Bag. I am really happy with this bag the balance between the makeup and skincare items featured were perfect in my opinion, and are not only suitable for the holidays, but year-a- round. I will see you all again soon like and subscribe for more to come.
