Well it’s not May, but for the month of May I was traveling and was unable to post my monthly subscription box reveals because my boxes were back in the states at the time, however now that I have been back I wanted to take a look back at all of the beauty products that landed into my subscription boxes for the month of May and give you all a peek inside each box so why don’t we have a look and get started with my Collective Box Reveal Of May Beauty Subscriptions.
The first subscription I am starting off with is of course Birchbox, it was the first subscription that I had signed up for over three years ago and it’s my favorite beauty subscription.
Real Chemistry | Luminous 3 – Minute Body Peel

The first product is one that I am very interested in testing out fully, because I am already a fan of the Real Chemistry Facial sheet masks, and this one is a peel for the body that looks very promising. The Real Chemistry Luminous Three – Minute Body Peel is just like their facial peel, but for the body. It works by sloughing away the dull dead layer of skin and of course revealing skin that looks and feels buttery soft and luminous perfect for those times when you really want your skin to stand out as though you’ve spent hundreds on a luxurious spa therapy treatment. This one is a lot cheaper at $34.00, and still promises the good old same results or pretty close. We will just have to see how well this puppy delivers on that promise.

ModelCo is a staple makeup line at Birchbox that I think almost every subscriber has received something from this brand in their Birchbox at one point in their subscription history, and one of my all time favorite product from ModelCo is their bronzer, but this time around the product that graced my May 2016 Birchbox was their lip lacquer in the pinky peach color called Viva. This lip lacquer is a part of a mini trio that subscribers can pick up in the Birchbox Shop for $16.00 and at the same time earn some points. I really like the consistency it’s very velvety, and is almost similar to the Stila Stay All Day liquid lipsticks just a little bit lighter.
COOLA | Daydream SPF 30 Mineral Makeup Primer

Coola’s Daydream SPF 30 Mineral Makeup Primer is a primer that gives a little more than your typical makeup primer in the way that Coola has combined an SPF, makeup primer and shimmer to birth a product that is all about standing out for the summer season. This primer comes out like a sunscreen and then after applying it, it leaves a medium to subtle shimmer. Daydream contains Plant Protection and contains a bouquet of fragrant scents that include honeysuckle, iris stem cells and white lily.

Davines is another favorite Birchbox subscription brand that frequents subscriber’s boxes and is another brand that I love. The product or should I say products that I received in my May 2016 Birchbox was from their Ol collection which smells delish. The first product is the Ol All in One Milk, which works to not only soften ones hair, but leaves it looking shiny and healthy without frizz. It also works to help one successfully detangle their hair without too much of a fuss and works great as a heat protectnact. Birchbox was also kind enough to include the shampoo and conditioner as a companion to fully test the full line and be able to get somewhat of an idea of the benefits of adding Davines Ol to one’s hair cleansing and caring routine. Both the shampoo and conditioner works with the same principles that the Ol All In One Milk does by nourishing, restoring, adding shine and also helps one’s hair to retain moisture and gives frizz the boot.

MD Solar Sciences Mineral Moisture Defense SPF 50 is a sunscreen for the body that is all about protecting one’s skin from the harmful effects of the sun plus helps with preventing premature skin aging, which is caused by spending too much time in the sun along with other factors. This sunscreen is packed with antioxidants and is formulated with glycerin along with ceramides, and both of these ingredients works to help one’s skin stay hydrated longer. This wonder-worker full body sunscreen also contains green tea, vitamin C, pomegranates as well as cranberry extracts, which works to boost skin’s radiance.

Pacifica | Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow Trio

The first product that graced my May 2016 Ipsy Bag was a makeup item from the brand Pacificia, and it’s their Natural Mineral Coconut eye shadow trio. The colors included are neutral, but are also very stunning and can be intensified for a dramatic makeup look or keep it simple for work and still make a noticeable impact. The consistency is velvety and goes on without settling into one’s creases leaving an unflattering look. The colors included where a beautiful mauve bronze shimmer purple color which I love, a champagne color and lastly but surely not least was a cream golden color.
Eva NYC | Hungry Hair Oil Treatment

The next product was a great hair care item from a brand that I have heard of before, but have not fully ventured off into their line and that is the brand Eva NYC, and the item included was the Hungry Hair Oil Treatment. Hungry Hair Oil Treatment is just that a hair care treatment that works to nourish, hydrate and smooths unmanageable hair. The scent is earthy and has a scent quite similar to the argan oil by the brand Moroccan Oil, and it also has a musk oil scent to it. Hungry Hair Oil Treatment also works to strengthen one’s hair and shields hair from potential heat damage. This hair oil treatment contains both vitamin E as well as vitamin A.
Bellapierre | Gel Lip liner in No.02 Nude

Bellapierre Gel Lip Liner is a waterproof lip liner that the brand promises will last all day. This lip liner contains naturals waxes, antioxidants and pure minerals. The Bellapierre Gel Lip Liners are all hypoallergenic and the brand states are suitable for all skin types. I like the color, it is a true pinky nude color and it goes on smooth.
Vera Mona | Eye Shadow Brush

This particular Mona Vera brush is not available on their site yet. The bristles are soft, however they are also dense, and does pick up a great deal of product. 
Smashbox | X-Rated Mascara

And the final product included in my May 2016 Ipsy Bag was from a notable brand and an even more notable product and that is the Smashbox X-Rated Mascara. This mascara is about taking one’s lashes to places or new heights that you have not ventured into before, but had the desire to. Smashbox’s X-Rated was created on a movie set in Los Angeles and was created to help one build up volume and amplifies and lifts each lash. This mascara is described as a long-lasting mascara that will take one from the day to evening and will help one achieve daring, dramatic and seductive lashes.

And welcome everyone to Play By Sephora, this is a new subscription that I had signed up for a while ago to be on their waitlist, and I had finally got off the list and received my first bag in May and I am loving it.
Bite Cosmetics | Lipstick In Kimchi

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche In the electric color Kimchi is one of those lipsticks that is not only hydrating on the lips, but contains ingredients that are actually good for ones lips. Bite Cosmetics has formulated their line of lipsticks with twelve edible oils and just to name a few this lipstick is formulated with coconut oil, which helps with keeping lips hydrated and acts as an ant-inflammatory as well as an anti-bacterial. Another oil featured in Bite’ Beauty is pomegranate oil which also helps with keeping skin moisturize and also protects the skin from environmental damage. I think the color is perfect, and is one of those lipsticks where only the littlest amount is needed, because it provides a rich deep color. I think Bite Beauty is my new favorite lipstick line. The color Kimchi is a bright, playful and energetic electric pink. The color is not too over powering it delivers just the right amount of color control and I love it.

If you are one who likes fresh squeeze orange juice, the summer season and fresh-cut grass then this is a fragrance that you possibly would love and I do. The scent is clean and refreshing and features fragrances notes of sweet blood orange, bitter orange peel and is coupled with notes of geranium a perfect combination in my opinion.
Tarte | Tarteist Lip Crayon In Latergram

Tarte’s Tarteist Lip Crayon in Latergram is both a liner and primer in one that contains vitamin E and is made with mineral pigments. The color is a rose blush pink color with a slight brownish undertone. I am a fan of Tarte’s cosmetics, and I love how buttery the consistency is not only on this item, but so many of Tarte’s other products.

Korres Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial is an overnight facial that works to brighten as well as moisturize one’s skin thanks to one of its key ingredients wild rose oil. What makes this sleeping facial a little different from others is that its consistency is extremely light, which makes it bearable to sleep in. It feels just like a lightweight facial lotion and smells very fresh, clean and with a light touch of rose fragrance.

Benefit is a beauty line that has been taking over the mascara market in my opinion. I had become a fan of their They’re Real Mascara, and this is another one that is quickly becoming a fave. What I like about Benefit’s mascara for me is that there is a technique to how you apply them, but they have all delivered on positive results of lengthening and giving one eye lashes that makes people think are they real, and their Roller Lashes is no different it delivered great results at lengthening and gave my lashes a slight curl which was perfect. Roller Lash mascara contains vitamin B5 as well as Serin, which are known to have great lash conditioning properties. The color is Ink Black and is very pigmented and leaves a dramatic finish.

The next product is by Talika and it’s their Photo-Hydra Day Moisturizing cream. This is a light-weight day moisturizer that has a slight gel consistency, but delivers a nice boost of hydration. Photo-Hydra Day works to plump and boosts hydration and soothes one’s skin.
Versaspa | Face Moisturizing Gradual Tanner

Versaspa Face Moisturizing Gradual Tanner is described by the brand as a more safer way for one to get a nice sun -kissed glow tan without subjecting one’s skin to the harmful UVA UVB Rays that yeah might leave your skin looking good for the moment, but the long-term results are not worth it. Versaspa Face Moisturizing Gradual Tanner leaves skin with a beautiful healthy beach glow and skin that looks and feels hydrated.
Nioxin | Nioxin System 1 Cleanser and Scalp Therapy

The hair care product that will take center stage is by the brand Nioxin, and this is their Nioxin System 1 Cleanser and Conditioner set that if you have thinning hair this hair care system is promised by the brand is about to be your new hair care best friend. What this system does is it works to remove to environmental residues that as some probably know are known to clog hair follicles. The Nioxin System 1 Cleanser and Scalp therapy conditioner is stated by the brand to work to balance moisture levels and have one’s hair looking thicker.
Rituals Cosmetics | Shower Foam in T’AI CHI

This product is a Glossybox sample repeat, and I have kind of developed a love hate relationship with Rituals Cosmetics Shower Foams. What I like about their shower foaming wash line is that all of their foam washes smell incredible. The fragrances are addicting, relaxing and will definitely promotes a zen like serenity vibe. I love that these foaming washes leaves my skin feeling throughly clean, and that’s my love with the line. My discontent with the line runs a little deeper, and that is that a few of Rituals shower foaming gels that I have tried have been somewhat harsh on my skin in the way that it leaves my skin extremely dry where I have to lather on extra heavy body butter and coconut oil and even then my skin still dries out with each use, but here’s to hoping that this one will not dry my skin after using. The scent that I received is named T’AI CHI and it’s a lovely combination of White Lotus and Yi Yi Ren.
