A subscription box that was a little late to the party, but nonetheless still worth mentioning and the one that I am talking about is the December Birchbox. For the month of December I did step outside of the norm, and opted to receive Birchbox’s special curated box for the month titled the Winter Essentials, and so far I am pleased with my choice. Every product featured in the Winter Essentials box is truly mandatory for surviving the sometimes harshness of the winter weather. So let’s get to my Birchbox December 2015 Box Reveal
Full size $25.00
The first product that is taking center stage in my Birchbox December 2015 Box Reveal is a product that promises to look good on anyone ones lips, because it adjusts to ones skin for a more natural appearance, which gives each wearer a customizable color of the perfect or near perfect peach. Beside from being a color forming lip and cheek stain the Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Peach smells divine like fresh peaches on a summer day at the county fair. The consistency is great where it applies lovely and does not feel like a stain, but more like a moisturizing balm.
Product 2 derma e | Microdermabrasion Scrub*
Full size $28.99
The next product featured is from a familiar brand that subscribers can receive from time to time in their Birchboxes, and it is one of my favorite skincare brands and I am talking about the brand Dermae. The product that was featured in this special curated box is the Mircodermabrasion Scrub, and it is the perfect addition to any winter skin care regimen when skin needs it more often. The Dermae Microdermabrasion Scrub contains Dead Sea salt, which helps with giving ones skin a thorough exfoliation and also helps overtime with diminishing the appearance of fine lines, acne scarring and wrinkles and an added bonus it smells like fresh oranges.Product 3 Juara | Coconut Illipe Hand and Nail Balm*
Full size $20.00
The next product not only fully moisturizes hands and restores dry nails, but smells incredible I must say good enough to eat, but please do not. I am talking about the Juara Coconut Illipe Hand and Nail Balm. This is a fast absorbing and as promised by the brand a long-lasting moisturizing balm. Juara Coconut Illipe Hand and Nail Balm works to help hands stay hydrated as well as helps with plumping and firming hands all the while helping with strengthening cuticles and nails. I need not say more a winter must have for any hand bag. The brand describes this hand moisturizing treatment as a balm, but it feels more like a lotion consistency that is extremely light.Product 4 Chuao Chocolatier | Cinnamon Cereal Smooch
Full size $9.95 | Assortment of 8 or $4.99 for 1
Moving along to the next product, which is slightly different, but nonetheless still a nice treat and I am speaking of the Chuao Cereal Smooch Mini ChocoPod Bar. The Chuao Chocolatier Cereal Smooch bar is made of milk chocolate and infused with crispy crushed cinnamon cereal just say goodbye to your diet at least for the day, or close your eyes and extend your hand out and pass it along to your closest friend if you can somehow resist.Product 5 eSalon | Perfect Ending Leave In Conditioner
Full size $25.00
And the hair care product that landed into the Winter Essentials Birchbox is by the brand eSalon, and it’s their Perfect Ending Leave In Conditioner. The brand eSalon states that their formula is colorist-approved as a leave-in, and helps with detangling ones hair, however this leave-in conditioner does not stop there, but also helps with eliminating frizz and helps with locking in moisture, shine and preventing breakage definitely a one stop shop kind of conditioner.
Full size $12.00
And lastly, but not least the perfect addition to any holiday, winter or any beauty sample subscription box is a nice mini travel friendly eye shadow palette, and the one that Birchbox threw into the mix was one by a familiar brand that I just so happen to also like, and I am talking about the brand Coastal Scents and the product I received is their Eye Shadow Duo in formalEyes, which includes two beautiful shimmer shadows. The FormalEyes collection features eyeshadows that are rich in color and have a creamy consistency. The colors I received are a champagne gold, and an emerald hunter green. These colors and the whole palette is extremely versatile, and I like that one can sport a neutral casual look for the office, and intensify their look later for a more dramatic look for a night out on the town.
And, that was my Birchbox December 2015 Box Reveal. I thought this was a great box to wrap up the year 2015, and I am pleased with my decision to select this special edition curated winter box. I love the featured brands, and I have to say that the Jane Iredale was one of my favorite products from the December 2015 Birchbox. It was great to see one of my favorite skin care brands feature, which is Dermae and some new brands. And, that’s a wrap of my box reveal and mini review of the Birchbox December 2015 Box Reveal.
