I have now been subscribed to Ipsy for four months now, and it’s that time again to unzipped the beauty of Ipsy. My beauty bag arrived for the month, and a unbagging is deemed ready for the month of August. All the products that were featured were tucked away into this adorable houndstooth makeup bag that is definitely a fave for me, and besides from having a stylish makeup bag the August Ipsy Bag is rocking skin care and beauty items all inspired by the prep school diva to the month.Without any further delay let’s get to my Ipsy August 2015 Bag Reveal.
Product 1 Hikari Lip Gloss in Merlot
Full size $13.00
The first item featured in the Ipsy August 2015 bag was a lip gloss by the brand Hikari in the color Merlot. A perfect color to transition into the fall season. The color Merlot is a rich, deep berry color. The consistently is lovely, and applies evenly, and stays put for quite a while. I also like that this lip gloss does not have a sticky or glue feeling once applied to ones lips, but glides on like butter. The Hikari lip gloss in Merlot features a doe foot applicator. I’m loving that this was a full size product where it will last for a quiet while, and I will be able to further test the quality of this lip gloss, however so far it’s a hit. I think the color is beautiful and I love it. I also like that this lip gloss is hydrating. Product 2 Eco-Beauty Good Night. Night Cream
Full size $40.00
The next product featured in my August Ipsy bag was a night cream by the brand Eco-Beauty by La Fresh Group. This night cream is not only hydrating for the evening, but has a very relaxing herbal scent. The scent is similar in my opinion to rosemary, lavender and a fresh clean scent. Eco-Beauty Good Night, Night Cream has a lotion consistency that is extremely light, however still very moisturizing. I love the packaging. I thought Eco-Beauty’s night cream was a nice ultra light night moisturizing cream.Product 3 Doucce Cosmetics Ultra Precision Eye Liner
Full size $22.00
And, no beauty sample subscription box would be complete without an eye liner or mascara making an appearance, leaving many subscribers with almost no longer a need to approach other eye liners or mascaras at the beauty counter, or all together completely avoid the eye liner or mascara section at the drugstore. This time it just so happens to be an eye liner by the brand Doucce, that has taken center stage in my August 2015 Ipsy bag. The Brand Doucce has been showing up across beauty samples subscription boxes left and right as recently seen in the May and June GlossyBox, and now making its rounds into the Ipsy Bag. The item featured is an intense black coal eye liner. I love that the consistency is very smooth like velvet, and did not tug on my eyelids. The Doucce Ultra Precision Eye Liner is stated by the brand to be a waterproof eye liner.
Product 4 Cover | FX Blemish Treatment Primer*
Full size $22.00
The next product featured is a skin care treat that promises to not only prime ones skin, but helps the wearer to potentially fight some forms of acne, and helps treat ones skin over time. This is the Cover| FX Blemish Treatment Primer. I am looking forward to further testing this product out, I like the idea of having an ance, blemish and a primer all rolled-into one, it makes it very convenient.Product 5 Lather Ultra Mild Face Cleanser*
Full size $ 19.00
And, lastly but truly not least the product to wrap up the Ipsy August 2015 Bag Reveal is an ultra gentle and very soothing facial wash by the brand Lather, and its their Ultra Mild Face Cleanser. This cleanser is both paraben-free and sulfate free. The brand Lather created their Ultra Mild Face Cleanser with the idea that their cleanser would be both gentle on the skin, and at the same time would be a gel foaming cleanser that would not strip the skin of its natural oils. This cleanser is also formulated with relaxing botanical extracts. I like how well this facial cleanser lather’s up, and at the same time does not dry my skin out. Lather’s Ultra Mild Face Cleanser has definitely become a nice refreshing, restoring and relaxing facial cleanser.
The August 2015 Ipsy Bag was another great bag I thought. As a beauty sample subscription subscriber two things a subscriber can be sure of, one they will not fall short of mascara or eye liner, and as a subscriber one is constantly introduced to great brands that one is probably already a fan of, or products that are completely new to them. For the month of August I felted that Ipsy delivered a lot of new beauty discoveries into the Ipsy Bag, where I feel it would be a somewhat of a big challenge to pinpoint which one I am fancying more, however so far the lip gloss has been a hit. And, that’s a wrap of my Ipsy August 2015 Bag Reveal.
