For the month of September the luxury beauty sample subscription service GlossyBox, had teamed up with the equally prestigious, sophisticated, and timeless magazine Harper’s Bazaar, to curate subscribers boxes with items to bring even more chicness, glamour, sophistication, and, playfulness into our lives. I have been a fan of the timeless magazine Harper’s bazaar, for a long while so I was eager to discover what was going to come of this collaboration.
Product 1 Essie nail polish in the color Madison Ave-Hue*
Retail value:$8.50
The first, product featured in my August GlossyBox, is a nail lacquer by the notable brand Essie named Madison Ave-Hue. The color Madison Ave-Hue, is a beautiful, rich, fashionable, and elegant pink, with flecks of silver infused into the color. Essie Madison Ave-Hue is truly a well suited color, and brand for the GlossyBox and Harper’s Bazaar collaboration. I like that the color is buildable, and is a lovely color for upcoming holiday seasons quickly approaching.
Product 2 Benefit They’re Real! Mascara*
Retail value $23.00
The next fabulous product from the GlossyBox Harper’s Bazaar collaboration is the well-known, and much-loved in my book Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara. This is a deluxe-size sample that was included in GlossyBox subscribers boxes, and I am extremely happy that it was. Benefit They’re Real! mascara, gives my lashes volume and gives them a photo ready off to the grand ball style eyelashes. I had first discovered Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara, when I had selected it as a Sephora Beauty Insider Birthday gift, and I have loved this mascara since then.
Product 3 Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar: Metallic in Authentic*
Retail value: $18.00
The next product that I was excited about is this beautiful brush-on lipstick by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I have become an instant fan after the first application of the product. The consistency is not sticky, it is a nice highly pigmented cream with a subtle shimmer brush-on lipstick. The color Metallic in Authentic, is described by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, as a frosted bronze copper shade. I love the color, I think it is classy and tame enough for work, and glamorous enough for evening adventures in my opinion. And, a little of this product goes a long way. I applied only a minimal amount, and that small amount covered top and bottom lip without having to reapply. So I definitely think this tube will last a long while.
Product 4 Bvlgari Eau Parfumée au Thé Blanc Hair Conditioner*
Retail value: $45.00
The next product was this glamorous luxurious hair care product, by the high-end brand Bvlgari. This is a conditioner, that the company promises will leave your locks lightly scented with Bvlgari’s calming serene Eau Parfumee au the Blanc fragrance. The conditioner contains cotton as well as rice extracts.
Product 5 Vichy LiftActiv Night*
The grand finale product featured in my GlossyBox and Harper’s Bazaar collaboration box is Vichy LiftActiv Night Cream. Vichy LiftActiv contains plant sugar extract, Rhamnose, as well as continuous- release Vitamin C. Vichy states, that their Liftactiv will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help boost skin’s firmness. Liftactiv cream by Vichy also offers 24 hours of hydration as well as helps to improve one’s skin tone.
And, that was my GlossyBox September 2014 Reveal. I absolutely loved the variety of products. The collaboration between GlossyBox and the famed beauty/fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar was great, this collaboration between the two definitely lived up to their names. The September box was filled with luxury products, named brands, and a little new product discovery with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar.
